Our Commitment to IP Protection

At Sukamo Technologies, we understand that your legacy source code is your most valuable intellectual property. Our flagship product, Mainframe Modernizer, is built with a "Security-First" philosophy. This policy outlines our strict data handling procedures designed to protect your code, metadata, and business logic during the modernization process.

1. Information Processing & Isolation

We process two types of information:

• Modernization Data: This includes COBOL source code, JCL, database schemas, and copybooks.
  Handling: For Offline Intelligence Station deployments, this data remains entirely within your secure infrastructure. For cloud-connected versions, data is isolated in a single-tenant environment and encrypted with AES-256.
• Administrative Data: Corporate contact details and authentication credentials required to manage your Product license and support requests.

2. How We Use Information

We use processed data strictly to:

• Generate Abstract Syntax Trees (AST) and Control Flow Graphs (CFG) for modernization analysis.
• Identify and isolate business logic for conversion to Java, C#, or Python.
• Map repository-wide dependencies for architectural visualization.
• Provide technical support and fulfill licensing obligations.

3. AI Ethics & Code Integrity

A core principle of Mainframe Modernizer is that your code is never used to train global AI models.

The AI agents within the product operate on localized contexts. Any learning or fine-tuning that occurs during a modernization project is restricted to your specific project instance and is destroyed or archived per your retention policy. We do not share cross-customer code logic or architectural patterns.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

In our cloud-hosted Product instances, data is retained only for the duration of the modernization project. Upon project completion or contract termination, all Modernization Data is wiped from our isolated processing environments within 30 days, unless a different retention period is required by your regulatory compliance needs.
